Gene, thanks for the response. Glad I asked.
Do you have a breakdown of what the model numbers mean? For instance, I know that the last letter is just the color code. I'm curious what the two letters before that would signify, as they are the only difference between my model and the ones listed in the bulletin you included.
Just want to make sure that I fix it right. Also just curious.
Thanks again!

OK, one more quick question... while I am at it, would you recommend replacing the hinges too, or just the receptacles?

OK, I lied... I have another question. Sorry to be a pain.
I was just looking over your handy parts diagrams and for the individual parts, you cross reference which models use the part. If you look at the 3 main parts of that hinge replacement kit (the hinge, the receptacle and the door liner), it references my model and the ones listed in the service bulletin.
I guess I'm curious if the parts are common between the models, why would they not require the same replacement kit. I'm wondering if it's possible that some models were just not included in the bulletin?
I would hate to order just the receptacle, then find out later that I really needed the whole kit, as the kit costs much less than the parts if purchased separately.
Again, thanks for your time and input.

Shawn,

The first letter is production code and the second letter is listing. Don't ask what it means more specifically. I don't know.

In your model number the first letter is "D" while all model numbers listed in the Service bulletin do not have this letter. The part numbers for the door hinges and the door liner are different for your and other models. So this kit definitely would not work for your oven.

Guess I'm confused, because the model number that the original poster Boney referenced was "JJW9530D" (I assume that he left off the last 2 letters?), and then you referenced that kit.

Shawn,

I could overlook it. You are right.

Gene,
I might have found the source of our confusion. I think we might have been talking about 2 different kits. When I searched for the kit number(s) 12002111 or 12002112 in that bulletin PDF, that comes up as just the hinges and receptacles for those models listed in the bulletin. Those hinges look different than the ones in my oven.
The kit I was referring to is the one that you linked to in #6 of this thread: Part number: AP4010213. These hinges do look like the ones in my oven, and mach the look of the ones linked to from the parts diagram for my model.
The thing is that page doesn't list what models it supports, like the other parts pages do.

Shawn,

After a few more researches I found that the kit with part number AP4010213 is the correct kit for the model numbers with "D" as the production code and should be good for your oven as well.
