Just today during operation, heard loud pop and dryer stopped. checked breaker and it had been tripped. reset it and tried to start dryer, dryer started up and ran but there is no heat and there is a metal scraping noise when running. Has anyone ran into this and if so what was the problem? I work on cars for a living and have all necessary tools but just looking for some help if i cant get this warrantied. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the heating element is bad, its at the rear of the drum, use a putty knife between the front panel and the top(2" in from the corner) lift the top, remove 2 screws into front panel, remove front panel, disconnect the belt, lift drum out of rear bearing, Inspect heater!!:)
