I no longer have a link to the service manual, perhaps someone else will jump in who has one.

This is a fairly complicated unit. You have 3 boards in it. The main control board (timer) ($170), a relay board ($275) and a downdraft fan relay board ($100). Prices are approximate.

By the sound of it at minimum you need the control board. Maybe also the relay board (the broil relay contacts are probably welded together). This would put the repair price up to $375 minimum. I would not put that many dollars into such an old unit as you are getting close to where these and other parts will become obsolete.

You could try disconnecting the control board from the relay board. If the broil element comes on then you know the relay board needs replacing.
Just be sure that nothing can short out when you reapply power.

If you have to get a pro in because of no manual then it will probably cost a couple hundred more.

I am not clear on your reply as far as parts. You said that I would most likely need the control board and a relay board for about $375 but you did not specify which relay board. The prices don't add. If you could please tell me where to find the boards that might help me clear it up or specify the part numbers.

Thanks, Willa

Denman-
Can you help me with my Jenn-Air problem?

I have a Jenn-Air Range SVD48600B I am getting the F1 Error Code and Beeping.
I believe that its the Electronic oven control assembly -Part Number: AP4088560
I just wanted to see if anyone else ran across this problem before I spent the $165 to order the part.
Also my up button on the keypad went out. Is this part of the the new unit?
Thanks,
Raptor97321

The control panel ( membrane switch) (Item 2 in Section 4) is not part of the control board (Item 2 in Section 4)

F1 error could also be the relay board re: a set of element relay contacts may be welded together.
Following is a link for the service manual.
It covers a number of units so you must be extra careful that the info you are using applies to your unit.

I replaced all 3 control /relay boards in my Jenn-air SVD48600B. The Electronic oven control assembly -Part Number: AP4088560, the main oven control relay board: AP4008673 and the down draft relay:AP4010046(all brand spanking new parts). I still, from time to time, get the F-1 error code and beeping. It came back the week after I replaced the parts. We (my service guy and myself) went over the whole stove and took the time to make sure all wiring was intact and there were no relay contacts welded together.I fixed my stove because it was cheeper than replacing my stove with a comarible model and tearing my kitchen apart to re-arrange the duct work. My stove works fine but I fear the F-1 and beep will always be an issue. If it is just beeping and giving you the error code I don't know that I would replace it until it doesn't operate your stove any longer, except for the fact that parts are getting harder to come by. BTW, I took my time and found the parts for the best price possible. I think jenn-air just made a lemon. Alot of money to spend for a lemon.

Denman, I am having kinda the same problem as Willa, but mine is a F3 error. I have changed the relay and front control board, and door lock assy. The cooling fan stayed on after cleaning cycle and will not go off. when you try to turn the oven on it gives the F3 and starts beeping.. Maybe I should try the sensor thing. Any thoughts?? Thanx

Yes I would start by checking the oven sensor.

Here is a good link

Check out 7, 8, 20 and 21.

Be sure to unplug the unit when working on it.

When I unhooked both wire harnesses from that, trying one at a time the broiler came on no matter what. Maybe I am not in the right place as is there a control board in the back of the oven? I will wait till I get the manual before I conine to decide which parts I need. As far as I can tell there was a black spot in the corner of the clock display so I will need that clock assembly, is that the control board as well? Not sure. I will keep you posted as to any more questions once I have the manual.

Thanks, Willa

I have same model JennAir as you SVD48600P. Where can you purchase the Service manual? Also where can you purchase the relay board as Whirlpool has discontinue making the the part. The part number is #71002144. I have F2 error message and when I turn the breakers to my range on the top element comes on without me turning it on and it heats up until I get the F2 error message. I can not cancel the oven from coming on. My clock and front controls have lights and appear to be working so it is a sensor problem or a relay problem.
