I replaced the magnetron just over a year ago (just out of warrantee). All things appear to work as they should but microwave does not heat food. Have checked windings of magnetron which read 3 ohms between connections both ways and open circuit between each connection and magnetron case. Would you suspect the magnetron again and if so how long would you expect it to last. Thank you. Brian

Can someone please confirm if the magnetron is at fault if I get a reading of 3 ohms between connections. Thank you

Hi Brian,
Most likely the problem is a bad magnetron, especially because the resistance across terminals should be about 0 Ohms.
Gene.
