on a maytag washer model Lat4915aae you have to move the timer around the cycles to get it to fill up then it just sits there and the timer just clicks someone said its the timer and someone else said the lid switch can anyone help me?

You have to have a simple multitester to check the lid switch and/or timer motor for continuity.
