My gas dryer makes a high pitched squealing noise when first turned on. It stops after dryer warms. Could this be the belt?

No, belts do not create any noises. Most likely some moving parts on the drum support have to be lubricated.

Gene.
P.S. For more accurate advise we need the right model number of the dryer and the model number you posted does not come up.

Remove the front panel and the front bulkhead. Check the glides (#11 on the break down diagram). Remove the drum and check both drum support rollers and the idler pulley. Replace if any is worn out or just lubricate them if condition is still good.

You can find the complete disassembly instructions in the Service Manual.

Gene.
