Our washer works fine but during spin cycle, it's really loud - so loud we can hear it from upstairs. No grinding, no oil on inside, just loud. I've read where it can be the clutch assembly. Could it be the bearing? Thanks

RAF,

Have you noticed any leaks from the machine, or water on the floor ?

Your unit is a "Direct Drive" unit and has no clutch.

You are most likely correct in assuming it may be a bad bearing.

But that can be proceeded by a water leak,(not always, but usually).

It would require a complete outer tub assembly, Once you've removed the spin basket and checked for possible articles between the tubs, and loose or damaged motor shaft seal.

Wow what a great site. I have a Kenmore Oasis 110.27032600 from 2007. The washer makes a loud humming noise during spin. Took it apart for bad bearing. The bearings have leaked grease.

What is the part number that includes the shaft and bearings? I'd like to buy just the basket but's its unclear whether that includes the shaft.

Thanks for any help.

Porktyme,

I take for granted,

Your washer does wash, and you've found that your washer doesn't spin, and the motor hums because the bearing shaft is dragging or seized up due to the leak.

You're on track, though.

Should you order the outer tub assembly,

Part number: AP4316595
Part number: AP4316595

You'll recieve all the parts you'll need( drive shaft, bearings, and seal) to take care of the leak and grease.

I only hope theres no damage to the motor stator and sensor assembly.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Update to my original post.
I called Sears and for the cost of the repair tech, both the inner and outer tubs were replaced as I found out that those 2 pieces have a 10 year warranty. Took tech about 45 minutes to repair and washer is good as new! :)

Porktyme,

I do show that part available in one of our warehouses(several to be more exact).

Our parts order screens are not "same time" and we occasionally have mis information.

I'm sure if you order it, you'll recieve it, in a timely manner.
