I own almost new Frigidaire washer and lately I ran into a problem with its timer knob. I suspect my little nephew had been tampering with it but anyway just the other day I found that the timer knob is not functioning properly because now when I attempt to push it in and turn it most of the time what happens is that IT WILL NOT STAY PUSHED IN. Instead it pushes out on its own and it seems kind of loose. The washer itself still works fine though.
I took off the timer knob and found that it's the timer part which the knob is screwed on that is not clicking in and out as it should. Can I fix this on my own or do I need a new timer????

If it is less than a year old call a Frigidaire tech to repair it for you.
