My machine shakes violently during the spin cycle. It scoots across the floor and the only way to make it stop is to sit on it. I took the front cover off and everything is intact. All of the springs are attached but if you push the tub in any direction, it stays there and does not center itsself. It does not matter what level you set the water on and balancing the load does not help much either. Could it be weak springs or something that the tub is sitting on. Everything looks good, but a part could be worn out. Any ideas as what to try??

Hello, Sounds like the snubber ring has possible failed, if you see white shavings down by the transmission the snubber has failed, I would need the model number to better help you. Appliance Repair Technician:

The model number is, LW3503W2. I found some black and white shavings on the bottom. I also noticed that the belt is quite worn and has some large cracks in it. I will replace it while the machine is apart.
