I had the same issue with the F35 error code and waited 3 weeks for the new pressure sensor to arrive after multiple complaints to the servicing company. I replaced the sensor and received the same error code. I then blew through the black rubber tube connected to the sensor to ensure it was clean. I then started the wash cycle and blew hard into the sensor inlet for about 10 seconds. I received the "suds" error which was new for me. I then reset the machine and started the cycle again. Everything worked. We'll see for how long on this tempermental machine.

Where is the Analog Switch located? Can you direct me to a site to show a diagram?

The broken switch on my washer did not make a sound when I blew into it, but neither did the new switch that I received from Whirlpool (which ended up fixing the washer).
3. The customer service representatives will barter on the price of the switch!

Hope this post helps you remove and replace your bad Analog Pressure switch. I tried to upload a labeled photograph of the washer and switch but this site would not cooperate.


Need picture or diagram of where to find analog switch, is there a web site to view?? help please

We have the Whirlpool wfw9500tw washer and have had it 2 1/2 yrs now and finally got the dreaded f35 message!!! going to take the repair guy a week to get out here so we have to wash clothes elsewhere..Maybe we should have stuck to the trusty old top loaders but we spent $3400 for the pair and thought we were getting a good product!!! After these finally quit for good we'll g back to the top loaders!!! :o(

Sorry, I don't have any pictures. It's easy to find. It's the only switch located in the under the top panel in the back right corner (viewed standing in front of washer, from top looking down).

Once I had the part it took me about 15 minutes to install and put the panels back on. I realize it's an inconvenience, but for $89 dollars I think replacing a switch every two years is worth the superior performance of the front loading washing machines.

Guys, I am a woman. I've removed the old sensor and trying to put the new one in place. Struggling with this cursed thing for 30 min now. It doesn't fit! Oh I am not putting it right. Can anyone send a picture how it has to go? Oh may be a link to a manual? Help!!:confused:

I fixed my own F35 problem. I have a Whirlpool Duet Steam washer that was
giving me the following codes; SUD, followed by F35. I called Whirlpool directly and followed their
instructions. "Run Several rounds of Affresh in the Clean Washer cycle." That didn't work.
I still got the error codes. My next step was to have the
repair technician out. I was told it's my pressure sensor / valve. (part #
W10156252 or W10249845) which is backordered for 8
weeks. 8 weeks won't work for me. Also, the part alone is running about $100.


At this point I decide I am going to look at it. Unplugged the washer first.
I took the pressure valve out. (Turned it sideways to pop it off the wall of
the washer) Then I detached the rubber hose. Next I carefully removed the
electrical cords from the base. Upon looking into the valve I could see that a
small elbow shaped hose had worked it's way off of the valve. I used needle
nose pliers to gently push the hose back onto the valve. This seems to have
worked for me. I hope it can work for someone else as well.

1.) The Purchase:
I purchased my Duet Steam Model Number WFW9500TW01 on 11/04/08.

2.) The Problem:
7/1/2011 It started getting the F35 error.

3.) The Troubleshooting:
I was able to open the top of the washer and go through some of the troubleshooting that I saw online (disconnecting the hose, blowing back into the washer) which seemed to fix it for about 10 loads but then again it started SUDS / F35 non-stop. I called a local repair service and found that I needed the “analog water pressure level sensor” which apparently had been discontinued by Whirlpool and replaced with a re-engineered part.

4.) The Part needed out of stock and backordered for months:
Old Part: W10156252
New Part: W10415587

The local repair service said that the part was on national backorder and according to their main supplier it had been so for 2 months. The new shipment of these parts was supposed to arrive 7/18/2011. On 7/18/2011 nobody called me to tell me whether or not they were in, so I called Whirlpool and escalated the issue with them.

5.) The call to Whirlpool:
First I spoke with Emma, she confirmed the part was now on a preliminary delivery date of 7/29/11. I shared my frustrations and she transferred me to a “specialist”, who, spoke as if she was chewing her own face - her name was “Candy” from Tennessee. I knew that I wasn’t going to get anywhere with her so I escalated to her manager “Austin”. “Austin” tried or said he tried to find the part from a couple of sources but couldn’t. He said:

“Sir, in this case what we need to do is get this to our Product Review Board who may offer you a replacement unit. They will call you within 24 hours”.

6.) The call from the Whirlpool Product Review Board:
The next day 7/19/2010 a woman named Tihate called me and said that I qualified for a new replacement machine. She went on to explain that it was a newer model but would still fit on my pedestals that I purchased and would be white like my old model.

6a.) One Small Thing:
Tihate added that there would be a small fee for the new washer of $578.57

7.) The final resolution.
I politely declined her offer. I will now wait for the part, fix the washer and sell it along with every Whirlpool, GE and Maytag appliance in my home.

My new LG washing machine will be here tomorrow, with a standard 10 year warranty which costs about $150 more than the replacement from Whirlpool.
