have a side by side fridgidair refridgerator with a blown compressor,,,I got a new compressor buy I cant find the proper 134 chare amount anywhere????????????????

I am assuming you are EPA cerified to work on a sealed system?

I sent you an e mail,,,this is my first time useing this,,,,,gota get use to it,,,anyway,,,I am in costa rica,,,I am a licenced automotive mechanic that specializing in A/c,,,,I have all my equipment and I do the odd refridgerator....

I didn't get an email.....but if you have the compressor it should have come with instructions which would tell you how much freon to put in, plus it usually tells you on the tag how many ounces to put in. Of course we don't charge then until we vacuum them down and test for leaks.

I looked everywhere for the tag,,,,could'nt find it,,,,do u know where its located on these units????? before I vacume I use nitrogen to presure test,,,,anyways,,,,I could always slowly charge it and keep adding until I get a good internal temp.......thanx.....

I'm not looking at one of those at the moment but if memory serves it's 4.25 ounces, you don't want to over charge because it will burn out the compressor after a short time.

funny u mention that,, this is my 2 nd commpressor,,,and I realy appreciate your help with this,,,if I can help with any automotive a/c problems please let me know...I just changed a blown comp,,,on a newer chev sidekick,,,I use napta gas ,,coleman stove fuel,, to flush systems with nitrogen,,but couldent get the condenser clean,,,could'nt find the dryer,,until I took the condenser off,,it has a cartrage style desicant sock built in to the condenser,,,never seen anything like it,,,thax again I realy appreciate your help...Terry.

Check your model number plate it will tell you your gas charge..If the old compressor had a burn-out you have to flush out the system..IF you don,t the system is contaminated and your new compressor won,t last long.

If you notice he said he flushes the system with nitrogen.

ya ..and if you notice it,s his third compressor going into the fridge..
