Hello. The little white latch on the dryer door broke recently. The latch is Part Number BOSCH AP2805459. When I look at the door now, the metal face of the door appears to cover the entire latch. Presumably, under the face of the door, the latch simply screws into the door. It just is not clear to me how to go about doing so. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My dryer is a WTL 5500 but it sounds as though it's the same type of door and it's actually quite easy - especially if you take the door off ( 2 Screws only to be removed).

The two halves of the door are only 'clicked' together.
I used a small flat head screwdriver and a wall paper scraper and it came apart in a few seconds.

The new latch is held on with two screws and is easily replaced.

Re-assembly is straightforward.

I bought the replacement latch(part no. BSH174430) from Appliance Spares, Spare Parts and Accessories - Buyspares for £7.29
