Dryer will not start. Pressing start button does nothing.
Yes, there is power and door is shut properly.
Not sure what part to start with replacement.

The reason your dryer won't come on is your thermal fuse went out. It is sitting on the heating element housing. The part # is 40113801. You might want to check the vent to the outside. Alot of times that is the reason, they go out. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts

Bummer, that is usally the problem in my world. Well the question of the new year is...Do you have a meter. Because there are quite a few things it can be. A door switch, a push to start switch, and a timer. Also there could be a power issue. Did you kick the breaker for the dryer off and on a few times to see if the breaker partially tripped? If the push to start switch is a 2 wire switch, you can put the 2 wires on the switch together to jump them out, and see if it works. Of course you do that when the dryer is unplugged, then plug it in. Also take the plate off, where the cord goes into the dryer, and see if there are any burn't wires. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I do have a meter. I took off the leads on the start switch, the ohm resistance did not show when I put the meter on the two leads of the switch, then, when the switch button is pushed, it went to zero. So, I think that switch is ok.

Outlet has power.

Igniter maybe?

Thank, again.
