Hello and Merry Christmas to all!
I have a Maytag Bravos Washer MTW6700TQ1 and so far it has served me well. I have been noticing this strange sound towards the end of the final spin cycle. Hard to describe but maybe sounds like a rubbing grinding noise. I did some research and from what I had found out is that maybe the Drain Pump assembly had something in it or it was bad. The water was not draining out properly so I had to go on my gut thinking it was the drain pump. I took the back off and took the pump off and sure enough there was one of my wife's nylon stockings caught in the pump. I thought to myself this is awesome and way to easy. Put it all together and ran a load through. Towards the end of the final spin cycle the noise was still there. Not as bad but not a normal sound. I had bought a new pump but have not used it or taken it out of the package which I was told I could return it by my local parts shop. If I spin the drum by hand I don't hear anything abnormal. Wonder if it could still be the drain pump or ....... Thanks for your help and Merry Christmas!
