Model #: JDR8895AAS Getting ready for Christmas, I set my oven to self clean. Innermost top oven glass popped. Now I'm freaking out, as I'm expecting 25 guests in a few days. Ordered the glass, but not sure how to replace. Don't see any obvious screws or such. Please help! Thanks very, very much in advance...:o

Open door to stop position (approximately 4"), then grasp both sides of the door and lift up off hinges. Lay door on a protected surface, liner side up. Close door hinges completely to avoid personal injury. Remove screws securing doorframe to liner located at the bottom. Remove side screws securing doorframe to door liner. Remove screws securing door trim at the top. Slide doorframe and glass off liner from the bottom. Remove screws securing door handle to door liner. (Two on the sides and two in front.) Remove screws securing door baffle to liner. Remove screws securing door baffle to window pack. Remove door baffle and insulation wrap. Remove screws securing window pack to liner. Maybe you could also give me some tips, please? I got the same problem as miamial, i.e. my oven door glass popped during self cleaning. I have GE oven model # JGBP28WEA3WW, and I looked up the part on GE site; it seems to be Window Pack Kit SM # WB56K19 that is $163 on their site, but I found 2 online for $70-90, and I believe it is worth investing this money and delay a bigger investment for a new one. Could you give me the same kind of step-by-step replacement instruction, please? It's a pity you are in California,.. but... you never know... Thanks in advance.
