The cleaning light on the ice maker started blinking during normal operation. I cleaned the ice maker and ran it through a cleaning cycle and started it. It worked fine for about 12 hours and made ice but then the cleaning light started blinking. Have run it throught the cleaning cycle several times and the same thing keeps happening.

Ralph, You most likely have a bad control board, Part number: AP3772424
Remove the control panel and access the control board and check for loose or corroded connections. But, you will also need to check the bin and evaporator thermistor(s) first. Check the thermistor mounted on the bottom of the evaporator coils, make sure the thermistor is properly attached and has not been Knocked out of place. The best place to check the thermistor resistance(s) is at the control board, They both have the same resistance readings, At room temperature (72 dgrs) the resistance(s) should be 10,000 to 12,000 ohms And at freezing temperature (32 dgrs) the resistance(s) should be 30,000 to 37,000 ohms. Your Bin thermistor circuit wiring is on connector P5 pins 3(wht/rd) to pin 7(wht/rd) . Your Evaporator thermistor circuit wiring is on connector P5 pins 2(tan/red to pin 4(tan/red). *** You can use a glass of cold water, with ice cubes, to simulate a freezing temperature *** ***Unplug the connector and check the resistance of the wires (pins inside removed connector *** If you have the proper resistance(s), replace the control board, or replace the appropriate thermistor. Part number: AP3175059
