My upright freezer works fine in every other way, but when it comes time for the compressor to kick on and start cooloing, it only does so for a few seconds. It then shuts down, blows air, and will cycle back on in a few minutes. It runs again for a few seconds and repeats the process. Does anybody know what part(s) I will need to fix this? Thanks, Brian.

Most likely the problem is a bad compressor start relay and the overload but there is a small chance for the compressor itself to be bad as well.
