My Frigidaire Gallery Series dryer is about 1 1/2 years old. When I turn it on it sounds like it has gravel in it. I have cleaned it and the dryer vent is clean also. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm concerned that it is a symptom or the beginning of something that needs repaired. I don't want to continue to use it, if it will make it worse.

A model number may help others help you.
Could be a number of things.
My first guess would be that something has fallen into the blower wheel. Next would be the front drum supports (glides)
May also be a rear roller going but usually it is described as a thumping noise.
Most other moving parts give a squeak or squeal sound when they go. |
