Hi I have a 2004 Kenmore top loading washing machine. I noticed it seemed to be taking a longer time to switch cycles from wash to spin to rinse, etc. That little pause got a little longer. Yesterday I filled the washer, added soap, came back later to find a tub of dirty water. The dial had not moved at all, the machine was not making any noise, it wasnt doing anything. It won't drain either. The only thing it will do is fill with water. The timer switch was my first guess. Also the lid switch does not make any noise when I push down on it. I honestly don't know if it did before it quit working though. Would the lid switch cause the pauses between cycles to get longer? Help! :eek:

I hate to buy both parts if I don't need to...working with a budget right now. Would the lid switch cause the pauses between cycles to get longer too? or do you think it's a combination of that and the timer? Thanks for your help!
