The electric dryer will start and run for 5 to 10 minutes. It heats and the drum turns just fine when it is running. Then it will stop running. Sometimes you can restart it immediately and it will run for a few more minutes before it stops. Other times it will not start for awhile. I replaced the timer/switch but it still has the same problem. Was thinking this problem could be related to the moisture control board. But I don't want to guess. So hoping someone here can help. Thanks.

got the same problem on a fsec747ges0 look at the board,mine had the last 2 wire fried,the relay is fried ,check yours maybe the same problem

Gene. Ok replaced the motor. I still have the same problem. This dryer will be brand new soon. This problem has me stumped. How about the thermostat control? Maybe a faulty door switch?

Remove the moister control board (#52 on the diagram) and inspect it for a burned spot(s), loose connections at the plug and/or cold solder joint(s). - The moister control board Part number: AP3220652
Gene. P.S. You probably can return the motor (if you do not need it and you ordered it from APP). Talk to the APP team.

I looked at the moisture control board and connections. everything looked good. I even removed the board and was able to run the dryer on the timed setting. after about 10 minutes of running the unit still quit running (With that board removed). So we keep looking. what else can take the power away from the timer? All thats left is the thermostat control and door switch. Im thinking thermostat control because it happens after the unit is running and heating up for awhile, and I can start it back up immediately (most of the time). I think we have covered everything else.

Check the door switch, but according to the wiring diagram thermostats have nothing to do with the motor. More likely there is a broken wire or a loose connection somewhere. Gene.
