I have a GE dishwaher that was not emptying out the tub. I installed a new computer module in it and it worked fine for about a week. Now it will not fill with water. If I run a rinse cycle I can hear the motor/pump for the wash cycle kick in and the drain pump kicks in fine. It just will not fill with water. The unit is less than 5 years old and I am trying to find ideas on what could cause it not to fill with water. Any help or ideas that anyone could give would be appreciated.

Thanks

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for General Electric PDW8400J10WW Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com

First I would check the overfill (flood) switch (Item 308 in Section 2).
Sometimes the float can get stuck in the upo position so the unit thinks it is already full.

Next I would check that the fill valve is getting power when it should.
If not check across the fill valve/flood switch combo. They are wired in series.

If the valve is getting power then the problem is either:
1. The valve is shot.
2. The screen filter on the input side of the valve is clogged up. Remove the valve from the unit and clean/check the filter screen. Do not permanently remove it from the valve. It is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open andf cause a flood.

I would do as denman said, here is a link that should help walk you thru testing the float switch and water inlet valve. Dishwasher Float & Water Inlet Repair Video
