Hi Richard,
Did you get any beeping from the fridge?
My water icon blinks and beeps indicating a fault.
I checked the fault menu and it says fault code c1 and f3.
My freezer also leaks at the front once a day.
Did you get any of the above issues?

Hi,
No, I didn't get any beeps or leaking from my freezer. If you look at the service manual linked earlier in the post, it tells you that the fault code f1 is for the freezer sensor & C1 is the cycle. It also tells you how to test/change the sensor.

Hi guys, I have the same problem, this first happened about 18months ago, so we called an engineer out. After he checked everything, he said it was the freezer fan motor. Having ordered the part, I couldn't get hold of him again, so I decided to fit it myself. Once I dismantled the inside of the freezer, I couldn't see any sign of a motor for the freezer fan, only a motor for the fridge fan. So I installed the motor in the fridge, just in case this might help. Needless to say it never. But by this time, the block of ice behind the plastic panel had thawed and once everything had been put back, the freezer got to a low enough temperature to freeze food, but not the ice. So we just put up with it. Now, it's happened again, so I defo need to sort it out. Where is the freezer fan motor situated? The link for the service manual doesn't work. Any help would be extremely gratefully received. Having ice in this weather would be fantastic!!!

Have fitted the fan into the freezer now, and will leave overnight to check to the temperature. If this doesn't work....... Any ideas???

Just to share this refrigerator that can catch fire.
Fire fighters occurred after only 12 minutes have extinguished the fire in the kitchen but I have had thousands of Euros of damage (the same refrigerator, all appliances, medicines, foods, etc.). The entire apartment was filled with dense smoke and smelly and I had to throw tents, books and whatever else was impregnated with the debris. I had to clean up and repaint the entire apartment, put the tiles in the kitchen.
Although the report faiths firefighters was reported that the fire was started by the motor of the refrigerator, as it was "old" 7 year old Daewoo has refused, even after the stress of a consumer association, consider a partial compensation.
the advice to you is: if you have a fridge Daewoo always check, install a smoke detector and fire in the kitchen and ... subscribe to a specific insurance.
