I have a stackable washer and dryer I just purchased. We bought it from a repair shop and it worked fine when we bought it. We brought it home. Turned a closet in to washer dryer room. Added a 220V. Ran the water lines and Walo... Working dryer but cant get the washer on at all. Does the unit have to be completely together to work? I mean. there is a 1 foot lift under the washer so my husband didnt push the washer in all the way. He wanted to check to see if the water lines were leaking or not. But the dryer comes on fines so I know there is power.. but I get nothing from the washer... Not even filling with water.

Connie Connie, I hope you mean you purchased an SE7800(Maytag stacked laundry system). First thing to check is : Do you have 220 Volts at the outlet ? Do you have the power cord properly installed on the terminal block at the back of the dryer ? Is the umbilical cord connected between the dryer and washer ? YES , It is very important, that this machine be properly installed. I have attached the service manual for you to review. It covers several models and in your case you need to pay close attention to the Installation Instructions, and pages(125 thru 155) that pertain to your particular machine. http://servicematters.co...ibrary/docs/16000416.pdfDrop us a line if you need more assistance. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Clicking the link to the service manual pdf gives a "page not found" error.

The file is probably too large for the forum requirements and can't be sent. We'll try and get it back to you as soon as possible. Thanks, :) :) :)

Okay, I'd appreciate that. But how do I give you my email address without posting it in your public forum? (I supplied it when I registered, if that helps.) --Margret
