Kenmore 90 series washer won't spin/drain. It fills/agitates, but when it hits the drain or spin part of the cycle it just stops. If I manually move it to rinse cycel, it iwll agitate again, but still wont' drain when done. Thought it would be the lid switch. bypassed it with a wire in the plug, but nothing happens. What do I try now? (im not the original poster - but same problem). Model 110.20902990

Make sure you really bypassed the lid switch correctly because that is what it sounds like.
Your jumper wire should go in the non-green wire holes in the connector coming from the console. If you are not getting current through that connector, try removing the connector to the timer and cleaning the contacts.

You are right. Tried the bypass again and it worked. Any harm in leaving it that way for a while?

Glad you found it. You can operate that way until you get a new lid switch, but this is a critical safety device so be sure and place a notice on the machine that the lid switch is inoperative and that the machine will not shut down when the lid is opened, and keep children and teenagers away from it until it is repaired.
