Everything else appears to work, the clock, timer, light, display. It simply will not heat anything up.
I need help.

Does it make any unusual noise?

No strange noises at all. Like normal, once the time is set and you press the start button, the carousel works, the light is on and the timer is working.
In the past and on another m-oven, I replaced a large fuse and I was good to go. However, with this oven, I see no access to such possibility.

Most likely the problem is a bad magnetron. In order to replace it the microwave has to be removed from the cabinet.

- The part number for the magnetron is AP4315294

Is this a hard fix? Is it a relatively simple repair?
I am assuming I will have to remove the m-oven from the kitchen cabinets.

Yes, the microwave has to be removed and taken apart.

Thank you. I took a quick look at the installation. It appears as though it mounts by some means from the top. I'll keep you posted. By the way, is the magnatron high dollar to the extent that maybe I should consider buying a whole new oven? This one was here when we moved in.
I appreciate your input and suggestions. Thanks again.

Your decision to fix or replace the microwave should be based on the condition and age of the existing and cost of repair vs price for a new.

I removed the exterior cover of the oven and could see nothing visibly wrong. With the cover off, I carefully and briefly powered up the unit and again, everything appears to work fine. I am assuming that the magnatron is the one component located just above the transformer with a cooling fan blowing on it. I also noted a large capacitor in the vacinity. Once the AC power is disconnected, i.e. the power cord, are there any precautions I should be aware of during dissassembly?

The first and very important thing is to discharge the capacitor.
