My washer makes a loud thumping sound during the spin cycles. I looked under the washer during the cycle and could not see a cause. I checked the v-belt for a piece missing and it felt good. Nothing appears loose. I replaced the transmission and tub seal in May 2006 and it has been working fine up until now.
Any advice on this problem?

Check for a loose spin basket, something in the tub (shine a lite in there) or a motor cutting in and out.
Pull the belt off the motor and turn tranny pulley in spin direction. Maybe a bad tranny.
