Hi Gene, thanks for the attachment. I was wondering about how to replace the blue latch rather. I think the part number is 166630. Might you have instructions to replace that as well?

Now, I have never seen new parts up close so I might be wrong in my diagnosis, but when I look at the hook on the underside of the door, it doesn't look wrapped/worn out. On the other hand, the part of the latch that engages with the door doesn't look like a hook anymore so I am assuming that it's worn out. I could post pictures if you are able to tell me what to replace. Do appreciate all the help.

You may want to check the rails on the dispenser body (where the door slides). Possible they are damaged or worn out. If this is right then the whole dispenser has to be replaced.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Bosch SHU5302 UC/12 (FD 8003-) | AppliancePartsPros.com

If the reading is correct then the timer has to be replaced.

If the reading is wrong then the dispenser is bad.

I'm assuming the beginning of the model number, which is missing in your post, is "SHU" and here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU3032 UC/12 (FD 8003-)

- The part number for the dispenser is AP3844311

- The part number for the timer is AP2804302

Gene, thank you for all these good tips. I have a Bosch SHE43C, about 4 years old, lightly used. The dispenser door does not open during the wash cycle (have tried different cycles). The door opens and closes manually (the spring seems fine, and there doesn't seem to be any wear to the rails). I would like to conduct the tests from the troubleshooting manual, but I have no idea what testing tools are needed, how they work, or how to access the parts (I'm assuming I need to unscrew the inside door panel, but I'm not sure). I have basic mechanical and electrical competency - are there instructions that will help me figure this out, or would I be better hiring a professional?

Measure the detergent actuator resistance. It suppose to be about 2150 Ohms.

If the reading is bad, replace the actuator.

If the reading is good, replace the control module.

If you need the correct part number, post the complete model number of the dishwasher.

Gene,

I found a link to the Repair manual here: http://forum.appliancepartspros...troubleshoot-manual.html

I did check the continuity of the wax motor and it approximately 2150 ohms. I see the timer is out of stock. Is it possible to repair the timer?

Thank you.

Most likely the timer is not repairable. You may want to talk to the Appliance Parts Pros team to find the ETA for this part.

You have to remove the outer door panel to access the soap dispenser inner parts and the soap dispenser door.
