Hello, We recently replaced the gas valve [which we purchased from you :) ], and in removing the old one, damaged some threads of the regulator  , which sets next to it. The 2 parts were so tightly screwed to each other that the unscrewing of them must've caused damage to the threads inside the regulator :( [the regulator has 2 "female" screw-in parts, one on each end.] But we can't buy a new regulator because it's no longer available (we can't find it on your site or other sites. Nor can we find it at our local stores.) So, can we fix the regulator so that the leaking stops--tape? a filler? something else? We're trying to avoid buying a new (wall) oven. Thanks.

Looks like a standard regulator to me. Can you provide the size of the inlet and the outlet ports? Need to know whether each is 1/2" or 3/4".

They're both 1/2 inch. The problem with buying another is that the dimensions of new ones are bigger, and they're the wrong shape:square-ish. Ours is 2 1/4 d x 2 5/8 w; the sides are vertical and the top/botton are arched. I think only this particular size/shape will work. We tried a newer, square-ish one and it's too big. Seems like if we can't figure out how to seal the 2 parts (gas valve & regulator), we'll have to bake "luau" style: in the ground with hot rocks! (Our cabinet is on the small side; that's why we bought this particular oven--it was the only one that fit the cabinet--and that was 15 years ago!) Oh, I learned that the part number for the regulator we need, may be: 5303934073. Hope you have a fix for us; but, I'm doubtful.
