My freezer compartment is not getting cold enough. It will only cool to 20 degrees and is not making ice cubes (I'm assuming that is because of the temperature problem) Any suggestions? Thank you!

1. do you see any frost on the back wall of the freezer?
2. how is the freshfood temp?
3. is the freezer fan running, open door push in light switch and check if fan is running.
4. with both doors open, is the center divider hot to the touch, or very warm..

Post the results and I will help you along

Pull the fridge out, and remove the bottom access cover at the rear, and see if the condensor fan is running. also check the condensor to see if it is covered in lint and dust. he reason it is not cooling is 1 of those 2 things...keep me posted

I took your advice...pulled the refrigerator out and found an abundance of dust bunnies! The condenser fan was running fine. I gave everything a thorough cleaning and the temperature has been going down ever since! In fact, I had to adjust the temperature control in both the refrigerated and freezer sides because this morning the freezer compartment was at -20 degrees and the refrigerated compartment was hovering close to the freezing mark. Now there's still no ice being made, but with the cold temps, I checked my water filter and found ice, so I removed it and right now the defrost cycle is running, so hopefully the water lines will unthaw and that will correct the ice making problem. Thanks again abadfish66...it feels great not to have to call a repairman!! :)

Your welcome, now the reason you probably noticed it so cold in the freezer is because it went into pre-chill. One the refer stablizes you'll be fine, just be carefull about the waterfilter freezing you'll have one heck of a mess if that thing bursts. Make sure you have a good load of food in both sections and you will be fine....glad I could help
