I understand there's a new replacement spray arm that is supposed to be more efficient than the original.
Pictures of the new one look a lot like the original on my dishwasher. How can I tell the difference between the new and old one?

The spray arm might be an improved replacement for some of the older models. Yours is fairly new and I show no record of spray arm change for your model.
What's wrong with the dishwasher? Why do you think there is a need for a new spray arm?

What's wrong with the dishwasher? Why do you think there is a need for a new spray arm? It has been cleaning poorly for a very long time--with the main complaint being drinking glasses on top rack being left with what looks like large grains of sand stuck on. I've cleaned everything I can possibly reach from the inside--removing all parts. The motor has been making a very loud noise; it has now finally "given up the ghost." I will be receiving a new motor in the mail next week. [By the way, if anyone has any suggestions on how to go about replacing the main motor assembly, please post your tips and tricks for this dishwasther.]
