The water actuator on my refrigerator broke and I want to change it but I don't know how to do it.
Do I have to take the refrigerator door apart so I can change the actuator or can it come off any other way???
Please help.

In order to provide most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the fridge.

I also need to replace my water actuator and have the same problem... how to get to it! I have a Kenmore side by side model # 253.5738860. Thanks for your help.
