WHIRLPOOL UNIT WORKS FINE BUT SHUTS OFF COOLING BEFORE CORRECT TEMPERATURE IS REACHED. NO WAY IT'S 64 DEGREES IN THE ROOM BUT COOLING IS SHUT OFF. WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE THERMOSTAT WAS BAD BUT CAN'T FIND THAT PART LISTED. WHAT CONTROLS THE TEMPERATURE ON THIS MODEL???

Remove the filter front cover and find the wire coming out of the control.
This is the temperature sensing bulb,
move it away from the coils so it won't shut down prematurely.
