My mom has an air conditioner that is model number RC12090C1D. It is enormous and cools awesome, however, it won't turn itself on and off depending on the temperature. It used to automatically turn itself on and off but won't now. I'm not sure if it's a thermostat or a limit switch or something else. We hate to get rid of it because a unit this size is very expensive. Can you help?

Thanks!
