I replaced the motor from Appliance Parts Pros. but the tub still will not start without manual assistance. The start switch has to be held down for a long time before the motor completly ingages. Is there a problem with a relay in the start switch? When the motor does ingage there is a overload on the cookstove indicating that the dryer is tring to pull additional power. All of this still sounds like a motor problem. HELP!!!!

The dryer is on a 30 amp breaker and the stove is on a 50 amp breaker that are next to each other in the breaker box. I have been told that the dryer is trying to draw additional amps when this happens. Is there a relay in the starter switch? Thanks,

Either the motor blower is binding in the housing, or the motor is getting reduced voltage. It also is possible you have a burnt wire in the outlet box where the dryer pigtail plugs in, just check.
