I need a little help replacing the shock absorbers on a whirlpool duet GHW9150PW0. Is this something an amateur can do or should I leave this to a professional?

Thanks!

It is something you should be able to do, just take your time, and get a helper that you can boss around.

The main thing you need is step by step instructions from the service manual. Here it is. Take a look and see if your skills are up to the task, I bet they are.

I was able to remove the top connections without a problem. The bottom connections in the front are not easy to access. Any suggestions?

If you take off the front you should be fine.

I am trying to do the same thing. Can you tell me how you were able to get the top connection off? It seems like you would need three hands. There are two tabs that you have to push down while turning the shock, right?
