I have recently replaced both the pump and drive belts on my unit, but I am unable to properly adjust the tension on the pump belt. I have moved the pump assembly as far over as is possible, but there is still too much slack in the belt. I've called Appliance Parts Pro to verify that I do have the correct part numbers, which I do. However, the linear length provided on the website for both belts is a half inch smaller than the belts I have received. Is there another way to adjust the tension, or are the belts I received an incorrect size, despite being the correct part number? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I see the point of having slack in the belts, but right now it think there may still be too much slack. The belt doesn't fall off completely, but it doesn't seem to always turn the pulley either. If the belts I have measured a half inch smaller (like the linear length listed on the website for them) I think that might make all the difference. Weird.
