After making a loud noise on the top freezer, the freezer and refrigerator are not working and warm.
I need to how I can open the evaporator cover to check the fan motor and heater...
I tried to unscrew the panel from freezer but couldn't open.
Please help...

The cover may be frozen in place... Give it time to thaw on its own (hours) or use a hair dryer (minutes)... If you're able to remove the cover and find an evap coil iced up then a complete defrost is the next step... Keep going with the hair dryer and look to make sure the coil pan is draining the water away down the drain as you thaw the coil... Post back with your findings, cheers

I removed the screws and try to lift up the steel cover plate, but I couldn't lift it up.
I think there is another panel needs to remove first...
Is there a procedure to take this cover panel out?
Please help..
Thank you.
