My Kitchen Aid KUDS1FLSS1 started to make a humming-griding noise when I start it and throughout the cycle. Any suggestions?

Mine was doing the same thing. Turned out the front bearing in the motor was bad (it looked like water corrosion on the motor shaft). Motor cost was over $100. I took the motor apart (4 screws) and it uses typical skateboard bearings (608 bearing). I was able to pick up a set of 8 bearings at a local skate shop. Replaced both front and back bearings, reassembed everything, and dishwasher is quiet as the day I bought it!

Mine was making a noise so loud I couldn't sleep through it. Pump motor had front bearing damage (water damage?). Took the motor apart and replaced both front and back bearings with skateboard 608 bearings ($14). Now its as quiet as the day I bought it!
