Dryer is close to 5 years old. Gas model.
Dryer will not start. Everything seems to operate normally when loading clothes in, selecting dryer cycles with the knob, changing additional options. Red lights come on, digital readout works.. just does not start.
Any clues?
Thanks in advance, alex

Have you checked the door switch? If it's loose or not working, the dryer won't start...

Thanks for the reply, but I figured it out.
When pushing the 'START/STOP' button, it seems the outer plastic button was not fully contacting the switch underneath it to start the cycle
I just shimmed the plastic tip and no more problem.

It was the door. Except in my case I had to slam it shut. Can't baby it.

Had the same problem on the electric model and exactly what you did was the solution. Seems a common problem on this dryer. I used a little hot melt adhesive to shim the plastic button to the button on the microswitch
