My washer started making a lot of noise when it went into spin cycle, it also at times would not spin the clothes out completely. I would take some clothes out and try to respin it, sometimes with noise and sometimes not. The noise got to be to load to feel it ok to use the machine w/o damaging it more. I took the top off the machine to see if something was loose and found nothing and all springs attached to the outter drum were intact. I was told that maybe there were some nuts loose from shipping the machine and to look in the back of the machine. So I took the back off, all was intact, the belt moved fine but the scrapping sopund was coming from between the plastic housing and the basket. I called the repair center and was told it was probably something in the pump and was not able to drain from the machine. I then removed the service pannel and disconnected the big hose from the basket and plastic housing. Nothing was in there but I did at this time realize the basket was not tight in the plastic and very wobbly. When I manually attempted top move the basket it moved but was obviously not firmly attached to something. The back of the machine there is a wheel and that is firmly attached. When I moved the basket it made the noise I was hearing before. Please help, I was told it was going to cost me a min. of 135.00 just to have the repair man come and I just don't have it and will do what I need to fix it if someone can tell me what to do.

The repair shop where I bought the machine called back to tell me they could come sooner than next week due to a cancelation they had. I told them I had already taken most of the machine apart and thought I knew what the problem was. I did not want to pay for someone to come unless they would apply the cost of the repair man to come toward a new washer if I needed one. They agreed, as they had a new washer discounted for scratch and dent. :p We called the shop when he discovered the problem. I was as you described, he told me it was common because I used the wrong kind of soap and the reg. detergent ate the metal. I was shocked because when I bought the machine they said I just needed to use less detergent.
GOOD NEWS.... There was a misprint on the warrenty of this model and the repair man said I was covered by this problem. So he could fix the problem for 130.00. All I had to pay for was the visit and labor and because I had already disassembled most of the machine his time would be about an hour.:DThank you so much. I was informed and that made it easier to barter with them.

:mad: The bracket that holds the tube in place is broke. Mine just broke after 5.5 years this really makes me mad. we payed $1000 bucks for the crap.
and the part will cost another $350
