The freezer side of this side by side seems to be defrosting and I cannot hear the motor cycling on and off, The fridge side seems ok but it is too early to tell.

Remove the rear cover and check if the compressor is running.
If not, remove the cover for the main control board (on the back of the fridge) and inspect the control board for any burned spots.
Post your findings.

I can't really hear anything from the compressor, it is warm to the touch
and the fan next to it is blowing. Also the circuit board has no signs of
burning.

If the condenser fan motor (next to the compressor) is running while the compressor is warm to the touch but not vibrating (not running) it could be a bad compressor, a bad compressor start device or a bad control board. Check for 120VAC at the J7-9 connector (orange wire) to the terminal J8 (black wire) on the main control board. If there is no 120VAC - replace the main control board. If there is 120VAC then check the wires to the compressor. If there is nothing wrong then the compressor is bad and has to be replaced. This job has to be done by a certified technician. - The part number for the main control board is AP3950129 Gene.
