My whirlpool washer will not spin in the spin cycle. It goes thru all cycles but when it comes to spin/high spin it just pumps out the water and no spin, clothes are drippng wet. I had my husband replace "lid switch" and "motor coupling" but no luck.

Can anyone help me out here what can it be?

Appreciate any help

Sounds like the clutch drive "Thumb" is broken.

Above the transmission, below the clutch, there is a plastic drive component that engages the clutch band. If that beaks, you will have all the symptoms you describe.

Replacing that part requires pulling the agitator and dropping the transmission.
