My 10-year-old Viking range/oven 30", 4 burner, LP, gas oven/broiler intermittently won't light or won't cycle back on during baking. Both glow igniters come on, but no gas. If I bang on the gas valve, both burners light immediately. I assume I have a sticky valve (dual valve, LP gas). I don't know the model number. Any suggestions for a universal replacement?

Are you saying both bake and broil igniters glow at the same time??

No, the oven has two burners plus the broiler. The broiler works fine and appears to have a separate igniter and safety valve. The two main burners have individual igniters and share a dual valve safety valve. It is these two main burners that won't light after the igniters are glowing, until I tap on the dual valve and then both burners light immediately.

Thanks.

These flat igniters must draw more than 3 amps to activate the gas valve. Your igniters may be only supplying less than 3 amps. I would just order the igniters, rather rare these gas valves fail. Check the current to confirm.

It would be so nice to hear if that worked?
