If you decide to replace it then you should also replace the clutch and motor coupling while you have it open, so you need to decide if you want to put about $200.00+ in parts into it or get a new one. The labor is fairly easy to do so you can do it yourself, but given the cost and the age of your machine you may want to spend a little more and get a new, no frills top loader. Let us know if you decide to repair it and need some help.
