I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport ht washer. The machine was in the middle of a cycle when the Pause/Cancel button was pressed. Clothes were unloaded and a new load put in. Upon starting the new load ( Power, Select cycle, Start), I immediatley get an F-01 error code. I do not hear the door trying to lock. I tried to unplug the machine and then replug and restart and still get the F-01 error. In trying to search the internet for solutions the indication is that this may be a communication error btween the CCU and the EEPROM ( Replace the CCU?). It is also suggested to run the Diagnostic tests first but I can not find a procedure for this. I found a procedure for a model 8300 and when trying this( Close door, Select key other than Pause/Cancel, press hold 4 secs, release 4 secs, press/hold 4 secs, release 4 secs, press/hold 4 secs - all LED should light ( my LED's do not light) So I am still thinking that the CCU may be bad. Can you provide any further guidance or an appropriate Diagnostic test?

Look inside the lower access panel for tech notes, and see if it lets you put it in test mode.

Here is a service manual which should cover your model.

I ordered the CCU from Whirlpool ( took over 3 weeks to get) P/N W10205841. It fixed my F-01 problem.

Good, glad that fixed it because sometimes that is not the problem even though it seems to be.

That's unfortunate Whirlpool took so long to get you that part. This site (no I am not associated with them) also lists it on back order, so maybe these things are failing left and right.

Thanks for the update.
