Received a replacement thermostat from Appliance Parts Pros today. The replacement has 4 prongs instead of the original which had 2. I talked with customer service on-line chat and was told that I had received the correct part and that I should contact you for technical support. Is this part compatible?

It seems they sent you a part with a heat anticipator inside that heats the thermostat to get a lower regulated temperature. These thermostats cost twice as much as a regular L145 thermostat and are not as reliable, I replace these more than the L145's. Tell the Appliance parts pros, this is an unaceptable replacement.

This customer did contact us and we determined that the incorrect thermostat was ordered. They were looking for the high limit thermostat and by mistake they ordered the cycling thermostat.
Our customer service has given the correct part information for what they need and gave return instructions for the incorrect one. We do sell original parts supplied from the manufacturers, in this case the customer just ordered the incorrect part.
