Gene, I have the same problem but I have a GE jvm1660sb004. I have pulled the Diode of and it's open, but I don't know how to get to the H. V. Transformer or the magnatron to test it. Can you help.
Thanks Jason

Hi Jason, The diode is definitely bad and very often the magnetron continuity test does not show its real condition. The diode for this model is very expensive and there is a very high risk to damage a new part because of a faulty magnetron. On an other side, the new magnetron comes as a kit, including the new diode as well. So I would recommend to order the magnetron kit. - The magnetron kit Part number: AP2631638
