I purchased a new seal from you and am in the process of installing it. Does it need to be glued in, the old one seem s to be ? What type of glue can I use ?

Hi Liz, Yes, you were right - it has to be glued in. You can use the hi-temp adhesive made by Maytag especially for such purpose. - The part number for the hi-temp adhesive is AP3970861 Gene.
