The only thing wrong with this machine is the spin cycle will not throw water out of the clothes. The agitator and wash cycles are fine. What would my best option be on repair?

You did not say that it would not spin just that it would not spin out the water so I am assuming it does spin OK.
Could be a plumbing problem, may even be siphoning water back out of the drain.
Perhaps it is not pumping the water out of the unit for some reason.

Hopefully the above will help narrow it down.

Ok, by not spinning properly, it does not spin fast enough to throw the water from the clothes.
Even with only a couple wet towels it cannot speed up enough to throw the water out of the towels.
I'm thinking maybe the thrust bearing or the snubber is the cause. The service manual I have does not really go into how to test the thrust bearing.

The pump works great, definitely not the problem. A gallon in gives a gallon out (measured) so it is pumping dry and it does it rapidly.
