The fan speed switch is no longer available from Jenn Air/Maytag (Part #AP367072) My plan is to find the equivalent part from a newer model such as GE profile model PP989TNW part number WB24X10174 but there is no picture of that one. Anyone have the part or a picture of it?
Thanks

No luck with the switch, in fact problem has escalated. Trying to use the fan and turning the knob there was a big spark and the breaker for the cook top tripped. unplugging the fan motor resolved that, and the breaker can be reset. My next idea was to bypass the speed control completely and use a router speed control switch mounted externally to control the fan motor. Alas the 3 prong plug on the fan motor is not a typical 2 flat blades and a cylindrical ground but one flat and 2 cylinders. At this point the wife hase put an end to further experiments in the kitchen so I may have to dismount the fan motor to pursue a remedy.
